Having a big debt is really hard and difficult..I've experienced it already..My advice to you is that you better pay all of your debts.

Hi there,

The first thing I recommend you to do is to compile all of the documentation for all of your debts, dig deep and make sure you catch all the debt that you have, it can be easy to forget about a credit card you maxed out a while ago.

Once you have a full list of all of you debts, prioritise them in order of importance, for example mortgage or rent related debts are the most important as not paying could leave you homeless.

Then asses how much you money you receive each month/ week, deducting the a amount for your basic living expenses, allow for maybe one treat a month (this plan won't have longevity if you don't account for needing to let your hair down.

By now you should have a final amount of money that can be used to pay outstanding bills, using the list you have of debt importance contact the people at the top of the list and try and negotiating a figure that you can begin to repay, In a ideal world you should be able to repay at least a part of every debt just to ensure that the smaller debts don't spiral out of control.

I hope this was helpful

A great way to bring down your debt is to talk someone about how you can manage that debt. I know someone that went to debt company and they helped identify a repayment plan that suited them and their lifestyle. Definitely worth a try.
