Unhappy Will I go to prison for lying about income when I go bankrupt?

I originaly took out my first credit card in 2007 after recieving an offer to apply in my email.
I then took another one out to transfer the balance etc... This continued for 3 years untill eventualy I ended up with several cards which all needed paying. I took out a loan from Tesco's to pay the cards off, but then my car was off the road and I had to repair that. I wasnt honest on the applications, but had up until now managed the repayments with little or no problem. I had intended to start work which has now been put on hold due to my wifes illness and I have to care for her now. Some of the money I borrowed I did waste and I know I have been really foolish, but now I have NO way of paying any of it back. I think I owe around 25k and with only just over £200 a month income before bills etc I am stuffed. The creditors have started calling me and I am petrified. I am so scared I will go to prison for fraud that I am considering going into hiding. I didn't intend to defraud anyone, I honestly thought I would be ok to pay it all back. What can I do? Please help, I don't know what to do.

I understand where you're coming from my friend. Is there any way that you can have a second job? i think you can also check debt management.

I think your best bet is to maybe go and visit your citizens advice bureau and they will be able to advise what to do - if you can try and get in touch with a debt advisor as they will be able to organise a repayment plan and this makes life easier for you and more manageable.

No I do not think they will put you in Jail ... they will keep scaring you and will try to take out much as they can.

Better find out some Good job, Work hard and more and try to get out of it ASAP.
